From Abbott and Costello to Tina Fey and Amy Poehler: 13 Great Movie Odd Couples
Based on TMZ, actor Leonard Stone, most widely known for playing Purple Beauregarde's father within the 1971 film 'Willy Wonka and also the Chocolate Factory,' died on Wednesday following a bout with cancer. Although he starred within the classic children's movie, nearly all Stone's career happened on television, with stints on shows for example 'M*A*S*H' and 'L.A. Law.' Stone's last role is at the 2006 made-for-TV movie, 'Surrender, Dorothy.' However, the scene you will probably remember him for may be the one out of 'Willy Wonka,' where his daughter Purple becomes a blueberry.
